Reaching Out To The Immigrant Populations of America

Redeem Christian Church of God (RCCG)

Lighthouse For The Nations Parish,

2090 FM 157, Suite 200, Mansfield, TX 76063

USA

I am told that in my neighborhood we have at least 1,500 people who have never heard of Jesus Christ. In fact, technology is able to help me pinpoint their addresses. Therefore, the materials to help me start the conversation irrespective of the language barrier are also widely available.

Remember that many of these recent immigrants to America who live in every neighborhood of America came from several parts of the world, and very likely from areas where no one ever talks about Jesus Christ.

For example, do you know that there are 7,600 unreached people groups totaling more than 2 billion people around the world, who have scarcely heard the gospel? Further, 200 million people do not have the Bible translated in their local languages. In fact, out of over 6000 languages in the world, only 513 languages have the Bible translated in their mother tongue.

Therefore, for me and people in America, the recent wave of immigrant and the diversity policies of the American government has turned the U.S. to one of the largest international mission fields in the world. Foreign born immigrants who speak languages other than English in the home are the fastest growing segment of our population.

This is the business case for the 4th Annual IMC Conference held at The Redeem Christian Church of God (RCCG), Lighthouse For The Nations Parish, 2090 FM 157, Suite 200, Mansfield, TX 76063 in May 20-21, 2016.

Video Games, Hollywood’s Biggest Competitor

“Take no part in the unfruitful works of darkness, but instead expose them,” says Apostle Paul in Ephesians 5:11. This scripture motivated Cheryl and husband Jason, who are also parents to found the Christian Computer Game Reviews designed to help Christians unravel ungodly content, including occult imagery or practices, that parents may not be aware of as their children play computer games or watch movies. With time and transformations, they formed the Christ Centered Gamer that run child-safe game servers, score, and rate game in reviews in addition to providing an interactive online Christian gaming community.
